To celebrate two recent launches – LEGO® Education BuildToExpress and LEGO® Education Academy – we’re holding two special events so teachers can get hands-on to see what they’re all about.
The Venues
We holding two events on Wednesday 26th September at:
- LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester (4pm to 7pm)
- LEGOLAND Windsor (4.30pm to 7.30pm)
The Event
Each event will involve an introduction to the new concepts followed by hands-on workshops giving attendees the opportunity to experience both a BuildToExpress and an Academy Session. We’ll also have a special key note speaker at each event who will be providing inspiring stories from their time in education.
The Products
LEGO Education BuildToExpress empowers students of all abilities to creatively communicate their thoughts and feelings. Students are tasked with building models that illustrate their understanding of various curriculum concepts: how they “see” a character in a book or how they visualize a historic event. As there are no right or wrong answers it is also an excellent way to handle interpersonal issues arising in class, allowing students to convey their own personal feelings in a constructive manner. It is ideal for children aged 6+.
The LEGO Education Academy offers professional development for teachers who want to get the most out of the LEGO System for Learning. All courses explore ways to enhance this teaching style and provide hands-on experience through practical workshops, ways to maximise classroom management of resources and tools for curriculum planning.
Who should attend?
The events will appeal to any teachers and educationalists from KS1 to KS3 who have an interest in education and looking at new and innovative ways to engage their students
