Help your students build a better way to communication with the new LEGO® Education BuildToExpress teaching resources.
Watch out for the competition starting this month which will enable you to experience BuildToExpress with your students!
Today marks the launch of brand new materials from LEGO Education – BuildToExpress, designed to support teaching a wide range of subjects in the humanities area.
BuildToExpress empowers students of all abilities to creatively communicate their thoughts and feelings. Students are tasked with building models that illustrate their understanding of various curriculum concepts: how they “see” a character in a book or how they visualize an historic event. As there are no right or wrong answers it is also an excellent way to handle interpersonal issues arising in class, allowing students to convey their own personal feelings in a constructive manner.
Each student has their own building set which contains the same 200 elements. These have been specially selected to provide a broad range of ready-made metaphors and are ideal for stimulating students’ imagination.
The Guide & Activity Pack CD provides you with practical guidance on how to get started. It includes 36 challenge cards, videos and practical ideas for use in a range of subjects including Language Arts, History, Personal Development and Citizenship
For teachers who would like a deeper understanding of the concept via theory and hands-on practice and training sessions we also offer a one-day professional development programme run by a certified LEGO® Education Trainer.
