Building on the success of last year’s event, LEGO® Education will be located at the heart of the Cheltenham Science Festival. From 12 June – 17 June, our marquee will become a LEGO Education Innovation Studio, an interactive, fun and exciting hub for experimenting and learning key STEM concepts.
During the week, we will be running workshops for groups of students from Key Stages 2-4, helping them to explore forces and motion, renewable energy, ICT & computer programming skills and more.
Build the Change
The Science Festival’s theme this year is Re:Generation and will cover a wide range of topics to encourage discussion around medicine and technology, renewable energy sources, recovery of the economy and even the ethics of bringing about change. Take a look at this year’s Festival Brochure
Linking into this theme, we will be holding a Build the Change event open to the public on the 16 & 17 June. This is an exciting building challenge where we will be asking participants to help to create the Green City of the Future. Children, parents and teachers are all invited to provide vision, design and to share the change they want to see for their city of the future – all built using LEGO bricks!!
Gathering the community together, Build the Change events have been held all over the world since 2007 and help to inspire and develop children for the future. Learning is at the core of the LEGO Group’s heartfelt values and LEGO Education is a dedicated team providing hands-on and engaging learning experiences to equip children with an education that will last a lifetime.
